Welcome to a brand-new school year! I am so excited to start this journey with you. This year is my 26th year as a teacher and my 24th year at Glen Hills. I feel very lucky to have spent so much of my teaching career in such a wonderful school community, and I'm looking forward to another great year!

Fifth grade is a big year, and we have a lot ahead of us. We'll read great books, tackle some challenging math, explore science and history, work on projects, use technology, and probably have a few adventures along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to create, explore, work together, and try something new.

Most of all, I want Room 40 to be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking questions, making mistakes, sharing your ideas, and trying your best. We'll work hard, we'll learn a lot, and we'll definitely have some fun along the way.

I can't wait to see what this year brings and all that you accomplish. Here's to a great fifth-grade year!
